Okay...I haven't analyzed a play yet as far as I remember, so, here I go. Went with Haley to Fame, the play at VV on saturday night...honestly, I didn't like it. I mean, I've said this before and I'll gladly say it again...Valley View has the set design and the props and the costumes, but they can't act. South View doesn't have much good materials to work with, but the acting is just fantastic...every show I've gone to at VV has always had a few acting problems, so I didn't expect much and didn't get much in return.
I couldn't understand the plot...it was simply a bunch of characters running around looking to get auditions and a chance in the spot light at a school for the arts...a musician, actors, and dancers...there wasn't too much character development that helped the understanding of the story, so it didn't impress me.
OH! Another thing that bugged me was the fact that it was a musical, but they took out all the songs and such to make an adaptation of the musical into a play...doesn't work very well like that! NO!
It was fun hangin' with Haley, though...fun stuff. All the little children running around hugging her "Oh, I miss you Haley!" and me just standing there...yeah...not awkward at all...hmm...
