~*~::{Reading Blog #19: Mongol}::~*~

We're watching Mongol in history class...the story of Genghis Khan and his life.  Now, I love Genghis...just because he has ultimate power, and I aspire to be like that when I grow up, but this movie really makes you feel bad for the cold-blooded, malicious, blood-thirsty killer.
Young Temudjin grows up in Mongolia as the son of the Khan (ruler) of his clan.  His father is assassinated by an enemy tribe.  This movie follows the life of Temudjin (later to become the great Genghis) and his hard ships, war, and love.
Oh!  An enemy tribe steals his wife, Borte...what jerks!  But he preservers and gets her back by killing his older brother and such, but...this movie is great.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE...surprisingly.  It's all in Mongolian, so there are English subtitles...now, when I watch a movie, I don't wanna have to focus, but I actually enjoy this story.
