~*~::{Reading Blog 25: Of Mice and Men}::~*~

I'm gonna go on another ramble about terrible books from my past.  Here we go.  So...Of Mice and Men.  I hated this book.  It was really boring and about convicts.  Oh, joy.  Let's see a bunch of poor convicts talk about how tough their lives are since they killed that one person or raped that one whore.  I hate it...why would I have pity on some convict?  It's their fault.  So, they wanna have a nice life and run away from the cops?  Aww, how cute...they still committed crimes!  BAD PEOPLE.

But back to the book...I thought the plot was terrible.  It really didn't do anything for me.  Except for the old guy with the lack of an arm, where they shot his dog...that made me sad.  Same for when George shot Lenny.  That depressed me a bit...but come on...why are all the books we read in class emotionless and terrible? "Oh, but they're classics!" They're only classics because people remember them...for being pointless and terrible!  GRR!

I'm done venting now.

I <3>

Hey I liked Of mice and men. Not pointless. It was good and I want to hug Lenny. And I want to kick George. Sort of. But I feel for him because he has to deal with Lenny. But he kills Lenny. He could have found another solution. I like them. I like puppies. The mice had it coming. Bad Curly. Die. Bad ho girl. Whats her name? Boo you. Need full sentences. Mind cannot function properly. Old dude needs a hug too. Dog didnt need to die. He was fine. Curly needy die-o. Ho die-o = yay! Okay Im done. The plot is good and it has a fantastic ending and Steinbeck talks about the nature very well and it is a very good, well rounded book. You are wrong.
