Okie, Mr. Cheng. I'm sorry I didn't put my blog up last night. My internet was down and couldn't get on the internet...sooooo sorry! Please don't count this late!
Okay...anyway. I have started to read the book Hocus Pocus by Kurt Vonnegut, one of the best authors of all times. I read the first couple chapters, and like most Vonnegut writings, the first couple chapters are very boring and can easily be skipped...also like Vonnegut, the first couple chapters are very satirical and sarcastic. They give unnecessary background information that makes you giggle and makes you learn more about the protagonist, which I guess is important later.
Eugene Debs Hartke is the name of the protagonist. He is an old man who in the first couple chapters recalls his life so the reader gets all caught up. He was in the Vietnam war and refers to the end of the Vietnam war as "when the excrement hit the air conditioner" because he doesn't like swearing in front of the kiddies. He went to high school and has always had a passion for jazz and plays the piano.
That's really it for the beginning chapters...hopefully something better will happen...knowing other Vonnegut stuff like Cat's Cradle, Slapstick, and Slaughterhouse V, I will probably end up loving this...

I used to love the movie Hocus Pocus. With the witches. My cousin and I used to dance around the cabin to the song 'I'll put a spell on you'. It was fun. The blonde is Sarah Jessica Parker. She's pretty good being stupid. The red haired witch has some nasty buck teeth that are SUPER annoying and if I had to know her I might just punch them out to get rid of the distraction. Thanks for going to Fame with me!
Yeah. It was great.
:D
